Eddy Leks is the founder and Managing Partner of Leks&Co. Having a legal career in mind, he started his experience in 2002 in general corporate/commercial and general litigation practice area. Afterwards, he joined Hadiputranto, Hadinoto & Partners (HHP), an affiliated law office of Baker&McKenzie. There, he was working in capital market, general corporate/commercial, taxation, foreign investment and customs practice area. He left his position in HHP to join PT Lippo Karawaci Tbk, one of the biggest property and real estate development and investment company in Indonesia, where he rose to become a legal senior manager. His main responsibility is to manage company’s general corporate/commercial issues, build-operate-transfer project, and acquisition of shares and assets of property project. At time of joining, he was one of the youngest legal managers of the company.
As a lawyer, Eddy Leks has actively involved in many of major corporate and real estate transactions. His experiences include, among others, (i) project acquisition of shares or assets of major national corporation and major multinational corporation, (ii) giving legal advice and actively preparing a build, operate and transfer agreement (iii) giving legal advice and strategy for the corporate action’s purposes, especially when there is significant necessity for watchfulness and (iv) proposing the best corporate structure for the business transaction.
Eddy Leks is also a member of International Bar Association and Member of LAWASIA (The Law Association for Asia and The Pacific).

Prior to joining Leks&Co as a partner, Ivan Ari has worked for numerous law firms. He began his law career by handling a wide range of cases in litigation, civil and/or criminal law, since 2003. He firstly joined Atma Nagara&Partners as an associate where his main role was to resolve legal cases in the areas of criminal law, civil law, and corporate law. Afterwards, he joined Hermanus Winarto&Rekan in 2004 as a senior associate. From 2005 to 2008 he worked with MH Ara Sitindjak&Partners as partner. There, his main role and responsibility was to resolve loads of cases of property, specifically on strata title issues, corporate law litigation, criminal law and civil law litigation matters, labor law, and administrative law matters. In 2009, he pursues his passion to work and collaborate closely with Eddy Leks in Leks&Co, whom he have known very well since university.
Ivan Ari is also recognized as a skillful mediator and negotiator to resolve and propose a win-win solution for all parties concerned.

Yance joined as a partner of the firm in 2009. Prior joining the firm, he has worked with other respected law firms in Jakarta, as well as appointed to be Lawyer in charge for Batam area in 2007. He has in-depth experiences in handling various commercial dispute resolutions, among others in connection with: (i) corporate and commercial matters, (ii) shipping, (iii) state-administrative issue, (iv) anti-monopoly, (v) industrial relation or employment dispute, and (vi) debt restructuring or debt settlement. At Sudjono & Rekan, he was working in commercial dispute cases on labour law, criminal law, civil law and various other legal proceeding. In 2005, he moved and joined R.A.V. Awondatu & Associates Law Firm. He managed and actively involved on loads of commercial dispute cases, bankruptcy cases, corruption cases and general corporate/commercial dispute.
